Born in Italy but based in Spain, Ugo Mellone works full time as a freelance conservation photojournalist. He received aPhD in behavioral ecology for his studies of raptor migration. His stories have been published by several magazines, including National Geographic (Spanish edition). He has been a category winner in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and speaker in international events. He also collaborates with wildlife film productions.
